Summer Service July 2026

3 weeks ago Tue 7th Jul 2026

Summer is on the way, and with it comes the chance for us to review some of our timetables from Sunday 19th July.  This is to ensure our services reflect seasonal demand as fewer customers are commuting to work and of course - schools and colleges are now enjoying their summer holidays!

We will also be reinstating service 91 (Cardiff Bus Interchange - Penarth Pier and Seafront), increasing the frequency of the Baycar to every 15 minutes and running more trips each day on Skycar... So you can make the most of the activities and events, enjoy an ice cream, take a leisurely walk.

These timetable changes will take effect from 19th July and remain in place until 29th August

RouteWhat's Changing?

6, 91 and SkycarMore journeys on Baycar (route 6) and Skycar (open-top) for the summer holidays and the reintroduction of a daily route 91 from Cardiff Bus Interchange to Penarth Pier and Seafront.
305Minor timetable change along with the last two journeys each day starting and ending at Dinas Powys (Medical Centre) instead of Dinas Powys Square.  This is due to continued issues of buses being blocked due to inconsiderate parking.  Additionally, the first journey of the day from Dinas Powys (Square) to Cardiff will not serve St. Davids Crescent, Dyserth Road or Archer Road and instead remain on Redlands Road.  This is also due to inconsiderate parking.
